Lois Marie Potter was born on July 14, 1933 in Hubbard Township.  Her parents were the late Charles Francis and Gladys Oneta (Wilson) Potter.  Lois was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul, Minnesota.  She attended the Potter Country School near her parents home through the 8th grade  before going on to attend the Park Rapids Public High School.

 On July 14, 1951 Lois was united in marriage to Joyce Harold Kopp at the United Methodist Church in Hubbard, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Randee, Diane and Jason.

Lois was employed at Satchell Carlson in New Brighton, MN for a few years, assembling components for televisions. From 1965 to 1975 was employed in the tax distribution offices at the Green Giant Company in Le Sueur, MN. From 1976 to 1989 she was employed with Homecrest Industries in Wadena as production control and trafficking supervisor.

On December 31, 2010 Joyce passed away at Lakewood Hospital in Staples, MN.

Lois was a member of the Hubbard County Homemakers Group and the Wadena United Methodist Church Cut Ups.  She enjoyed fishing, crafts, playing cards and casino trips with her friends.

On May 26, 2020 Lois passed away at Perham Living in Perham, Minnesota. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her parents: Francis and Gladys Potter; sisters: Ardelle, Jean, Joyce, Doris, Carol and Teresa; and brother, Alfred “Al” Potter.

Lois is survived by her children: Randee (Joe) Sigler of Rosemount; Diane (Tim) Vaughn of New York Mills; Jason (Brenda Rahn) Kopp of Park Rapids; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Taylor of Sacramento, CA; many other relatives and a host of friends.
