Lillian V. Morales Obituary

Mrs. Lillian Verges Morales, 84, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in the AristaCare at Delaire in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Morales, the daughter of the late Dominga Medina Verges and the late Francisco Verges, was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico.  She came to the mainland United States in 1962, where Mrs. Morales lived in the Bronx, New York until 1995.  After her retirement, she traveled back to Puerto Rico to spend time with her extended family.  Then in 2016, Mrs. Morales returned to the home of her son in Roselle, New Jersey, where she remained until her death.

Mrs. Morales was an attorney and she had been employed by the City of New York in their Division of Human Rights for thirty two years prior to her retirement in 1994.

She was a champion of human rights in her job, but she was also a champion to her beloved family, who she adored more than anything.  Mrs. Morales’s one weakness was her love of watching QVC and the array of products that she could purchase, which would keep her very occupied and very entertained.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jose A. Morales (1983) and her grandson, Steven Caraballo (2017).  Mrs. Morales is survived by her two sons Jose A. Morales and his wife, Natividad and Jose L. Morales and his wife, Marla; her brother, Luis Verges; her three sisters, Sophie Verges, Heidi Espinosa and Viola Rodriguez and her three grandchildren, Jose Caraballo, Ava Morales and William Morales.

Due to the COV-19 federal and state restrictions on public gatherings, all funeral services will be private.
