She was so proud to play an important part in the development of the first Life Skills Program in Lufkin ISD. Archie was also a big supporter of Buddy Temple’s Vision “Impact Lufkin”, and was looking forward to promoting and manifesting this vision for the Lufkin Community. President Barack Obama, Governor Greg Abbott, and City of Lufkin Mayor Bob Brown recognized Mrs. Cornish for her accomplishments and active role in the betterment of the community. All that knew her in Lufkin, Angelina County and Houston will miss Archie’s love of her family, friends, and the community.
