Anthony William Malta, (Bill), a former resident of Cotuit and Reading, peacefully entered into rest surrounded by his loving family at his daughters home in Weymouth after a lengthy illness. Anthony was a devoted husband of his late wife Ruth (Troccoli) Malta, loving father of Mary Langenthal of Weymouth and Susan Feener and her husband, Gordon of Melrose. Bill is survived by 4 loving grandchildren: David Langenthal of Quincy, Sarah (Langenthal) Lowell and her husband, Samuel of Hampton VA, Brian Feener and his wife, Rachel of Chicago IL, Michael Feener and his wife, Kelly of Danvers. Brother of George Malta of Malden, Marie Abbatinozzi of Everett and the late Charles Malta and Constance Brown both of Everett.

Bill lived a very active life. Raised in Everett, MA, he completed a course of training at a clothing design school and worked as a tailor to assist in his father's business. He earned an associate degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University. During WWll, he commissioned into the US Army Air Corp as a B17 and B29 pilot. After WWll, he earned his bachelor's degree in busineess administration in engineering and management from Northeastern University. He worked in mechanical and manufacturing engineering until retirement. Bill had many talents. He designed and constructed additions to his home and designed and built a summer home for his parents with his brothers. He built a dune buggy for his daughters. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, he was an active member of his church Christ the King Parish in Mashpee and spent many hours volunteering at the church thrift shop. Bill and Ruth enjoyed square dancing; they were members of the Nautical Twirlers square dance club and attended many dance conventions around the country. Bill and Ruth enjoyed traveling around the states and in Europe. Bill had many hobbies, including gardening, building and flying remote control air planes, and building train sets for his grandchildren. He was an avid boater andactive member of the Coast Guard Auxillary. Bill performed many rescues and was an instructor for safe boating classes. Bill was always there to support his family and help with whatever they needed at a moments notice.

In light of the COVID-19, all funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
