Eliot M. Sargent

Eliot Maynard Sargent, Brentwood NH Eliot M. Sargent passed away on May 24, 2020 at the age of 83, of Alzheimer’s. He was born on May 10, 1937, in Winchester, Massachusetts and grew up in Walpole, Massachusetts. He spent most of his life living in Kingston, NH and Brentwood NH. He is the son of the late Norwood V. Sargent and Evelyn F. Sargent. Eliot graduated from Walpole High School in 1955 and was in the National Guard for eight years. He was also a member of the Walpole Sportsman Club. Eliot married Constance Colcord on September 15, 1962. He was a custom builder for over 35 years in the Kingston area. He was a member of the Kingston Lions Club, the Carnival Committee and moderator of the Kingston Congregational Church. In Brentwood, he loved his horses and served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for several years. While in Brentwood he joined the NH Marine Patrol Auxiliary and worked up to Commander rank which he held for several years. Eliot was instrumental with the Marine Patrol to establish the NH Boating Education program. He taught for 14 years providing many with boat safety instruction. Eliot and Connie are members of Bethany Church in Greenland, NH. They spent many summers on Crescent Lake in Wolfeboro, NH and winters on Hilton Head Island, in South Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Connie, of 57 years. His daughters, Deborah Lion of Parsonfield, Maine, and her fiancé, Richard Owens, and Linda Meade and her husband, Jeffrey, of Brentwood, NH. Three grandsons, Jack Meade, Kyle Meade and Ryan Meade of Brentwood, NH. His brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Patricia Sargent in Florida, his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Strout, of North Hampton, NH, his sister-in-law, Elaine Ray of Florida, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Lois Lynch of Brentwood NH, and many nieces and nephews.
