<p>Madonna L. Kuhfeld, 75, of Mina, SD, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, surrounded by family, at her sister&rsquo;s home in Aberdeen.</p> <p>Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020, at St. Mary&rsquo;s Catholic Church, 409 2nd&nbsp;Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Fr. Andy Thuringer, Celebrant.</p> <p>Burial will be at St. Mary&rsquo;s Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen.</p> <p>Schriver&rsquo;s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th&nbsp;Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp;&nbsp;Family and friends may sign Madonna&rsquo;s online guestbook and also view her service via the live stream service link at www.schriversmemorial.com.</p> <p>Madonna Linda Nikolas was born April 10, 1945, to Leo and Cecilia (Sahli) Nikolas in Aberdeen, SD.&nbsp;&nbsp;She attended St. Mary&rsquo;s Parochial Schools and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School.&nbsp;&nbsp;Following high school graduation, Madonna began working at the Brown County Clerk of Courts.&nbsp;&nbsp;On August 10, 1967, she married Donn Kuhfeld in Aberdeen.&nbsp;&nbsp;She continued to work with the Clerk of Courts and later became Magistrate of Clerk of Courts before retiring in 2004.</p> <p>Madonna enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.&nbsp;&nbsp;She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;Her favorite saying was &ldquo;Lord, Love a Duck!&rdquo;</p> <p>Grateful for having shared in Madonna&rsquo;s life are her husband, Donn Kuhfeld of Mina, SD; son, Bruno (Elisha) Kuhfeld of Aberdeen; brothers: Robert Nikolas and Philip &ldquo;Flip&rdquo; (Evelyn) Nikolas, both of Aberdeen, Thomas (Jane) Nikolas of Maplewood, MN, and Tim (Eileen) Nikolas and David (Cindy) Nikolas, both of Aberdeen; sisters, Pauline (Jerry) Winjum of Denver, CO and Mary Ann Nikolas of Aberdeen; sisters-in-law, Sharon Nikolas of Aberdeen and Joan Nikolas of Rapid City, SD; and grandchildren, Zander and Espynn Kuhfeld.&nbsp;</p> <p>Madonna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Edward, LeRoy, William, and Henry; sister, Sr. Mildred Nikolas; and sisters-in-law: Lila Nikolas, Kay Nikolas, and Gerri Nikolas.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><iframe allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="360" scrolling="no" src="https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/broadcast/embed/183452?slug=madonna-kuhfeld-mass-of-christian-burial&amp;autoplay=1" width="640"></iframe></p>

Madonna L. Kuhfeld, 75, of Mina, SD, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, surrounded by family, at her sister’s home in Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Fr. Andy Thuringer, Celebrant.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Madonna Linda Nikolas was born April 10, 1945, to Leo and Cecilia (Sahli) Nikolas in Aberdeen, SD.  She attended St. Mary’s Parochial Schools and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School.  Following high school graduation, Madonna began working at the Brown County Clerk of Courts.  On August 10, 1967, she married Donn Kuhfeld in Aberdeen.  She continued to work with the Clerk of Courts and later became Magistrate of Clerk of Courts before retiring in 2004.

Madonna enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Her favorite saying was “Lord, Love a Duck!”
