John C. Kuligoski Obituary

Kuligoski, John C. Bay City, Michigan Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and golf buddy, John C. Kuligoski, passed away peacefully in the afternoon hours of May 22, 2020 at Brian’s House in Hampton Township, Michigan. Age 83 years. John was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 10, 1937 to the late John P. and Clara T. (Kluka) Kuligoski. On November 8, 1958 inside of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, John married the love of his life, Rosalie A. Rajewski, and she survives him. For 6 years, John proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard Reserves. After nearly 36 years as a laborer for General Motors, John retired in 1993. He was a longtime member of All Saints Parish – St. Boniface Church. John enjoyed going for walks, loved nature and the outdoors, and had a passion for astrology. John was also an avid sports fan; with his favorite sport being hockey and his favorite team the Detroit Red Wings. You could also find John rooting for the Tigers and Lions when the Wings didn’t have a game. Playing golf was a hobby that brought John an abundance of joy in his lifetime. Over the years he was on numerous different leagues around the area. His favorite golf courses were the Bay County Golf Course and the Huron Breeze Golf Course near his cabin in Au Gres. Throughout his golfing career, John had 3 hole-in-ones. His grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of playing golf with their grandfather. With all of his joys in life, nothing brought more joy to John than the time he was able to spend with his family. Left to cherish his memories is his wife of almost 62 years, Rosalie A. Kuligoski; three children, Deborah R. (Terry Kelly) Lewis, Jeffrey J. (Angie) Kuligoski, and Kevin M. (Lisa) Kuligoski; three grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Lewis, Nicholas Kuligoski, and Sara Grahm; great-grandson, Mason; brother-in-law, Michael Rajewski; sister-in-law, Carol Kuligoski; nephews, Jon, David, Dennis, Scott, Tim, and Tom; many wonderful friends; and numerous good golf friends. John is happily reunited with his parents, John P. and Clara T. (Kluka) Kuligoski; and brother, Clarence Kuligoski. A Private Family Funeral Service and Visitation will be held at the Ambrose Funeral Chapel, 1200 Garfield Ave. Bay City, MI 48708. Celebrating will be Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera. Committal Prayers and Inurnment will take place at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to “American Cancer Society”.
