<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ruth Ann Depriest, 72, passed away peacefully on Oct 12, 2019 at her home in Olathe, KS&nbsp;<br /> Ruth was born December 29, 1946 in Carthage Missouri, the daughter of Nelson M and Hazel Irene (Kunkler) Lemery.&nbsp;<br /> Ruth&rsquo;s family lived in Lamar, MO until moving to Iola, KS around 1950 to be closer to family.&nbsp; Ruth attended school in Iola, until she graduated in 1964 from Iola High School.&nbsp;<br /> After graduating, Ruth married James Depriest and they made their home in Olathe, KS.&nbsp; Ruth and James later divorced.&nbsp; Ruth remained living in Olathe. she worked in clerical positions in various businesses in the Kansas City area.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> While Ruth preferred a quiet simple life, she was always there to listen or lend a helping hand to family and friends.&nbsp; Ruth enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, and writing in her journals.&nbsp;<br /> She is survived by her brother John Earl&rsquo;s two sons, Sebastian and John-Brandon, two Uncle&rsquo;s Russell &ldquo;Rusty&rdquo; Kunkler and Richard Kunkler, Ruth also had numerous Cousins and classmates that always kept in touch.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Karen Lemery, Brother John Earl Lemery, and two infant brothers.&nbsp;<br /> There will be a graveside service on October 25, 2019 at 11:00 at the Highland Cemetery, Iola KS&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

     Ruth Ann Depriest, 72, passed away peacefully on Oct 12, 2019 at her home in Olathe, KS 
Ruth was born December 29, 1946 in Carthage Missouri, the daughter of Nelson M and Hazel Irene (Kunkler) Lemery. 
Ruth’s family lived in Lamar, MO until moving to Iola, KS around 1950 to be closer to family.  Ruth attended school in Iola, until she graduated in 1964 from Iola High School. 
After graduating, Ruth married James Depriest and they made their home in Olathe, KS.  Ruth and James later divorced.  Ruth remained living in Olathe. she worked in clerical positions in various businesses in the Kansas City area.  
While Ruth preferred a quiet simple life, she was always there to listen or lend a helping hand to family and friends.  Ruth enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, and writing in her journals.
