<p>Mildred L. &ldquo;Millie&rdquo; Kopp ,93, of Maquoketa passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her son&rsquo;s home in Maquoketa surrounded by her family.</p> <p>A graveside service honoring Mildred&rsquo;s life will be held on Tuesday, May 26,2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Maquoketa. Dawson Funeral Services of Maquoketa is caring for her family at this time.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Millie was born on February 17, 1927 in Maquoketa Iowa to Emil and Daisy (Sanger) Schnoor. She graduated from Maquoketa High School. On August 20, 1949 she was united in marriage to Gilbert &ldquo;Gil&rdquo; Kopp in Maquoketa Iowa. She worked for the Jackson County Magistrate&rsquo;s Court for many years and then went on to work for the Jackson County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office retiring in 1992. She is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. Millie spent her time playing cards, traveling and dancing. She enjoyed shopping and cooking and especially spending time with her family.</p> <p>Those left to cherish her memories are her children Joseph (Debbie) Kopp of Maquoketa, Jeffrey (Denise) Kopp of Marion, Julie (Ron) Jamieson of Hoffman Estates Illinois, Janelle (Neil) Bartels of Maquoketa, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two brothers; Roy (Janice) Schnoor and Richard (Lois) Schnoor both of Maquoketa.&nbsp;</p> <p>She has preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters; Virginia Wilson and Maxine Frick.&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorials may be directed to Jackson County Hospice in her honor.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Millie , was a great lady.  I picked corn at Cornelius with her and her sister Maxine.  We talked a mile a minute and the boss followed us.  He thought we were not doing a good job.  He told us he was wrong.  We had a good laugh over that. Betty Miller
