Dorothy Mahon Mount Holly Mrs. Dorothy Mahon passed away on Friday evening May 22, 2020 at the Samaritan Hospice Center at Virtua Medical Center in Mount Holly . She was 99 years old. Mrs. Mahon was born in Union City and lived for many years in Piscataway before moving to New Egypt in 1991. She was employed for a short time by Rutgers University in the Food Service department in Piscataway. In her later years she and her late Husband James enjoyed traveling the United States and Canada in their mobile home. They enjoyed trips to New England, exploring the western mountain chains, Banff in Canada and elsewhere. She also loved to garden. She always had a bountiful garden of vegetables and beautiful flowers. She was pre deceased by her husband James Mahon Sr. in 2011. She is also pre deceased by her siblings Frank, Charles, Henry, William, Frances, and Charlotte. Mrs. Mahon is survived by her two sons James Mahon Jr. of New Egypt and Alan Mahon of Virginia. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Wendy and Sandra and her many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment will take place privately under the direction of Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset.
