James Clifford Terrell Obituary

James Clifford Terrell was born July 12, 1960 to James Olan and Helen (Williams) in Camp Pendleton, California.  He was the fourth of five children.  He graduated from Chariton High School in the year 1979.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marines and had the opportunity to be stationed where he was born.  He was also stationed in Okinawa during his service.  He served in the Marine Corps 1979 – 1983. He then returned home to Iowa and met his true love Sherina Kay Wallace and the two were married on October 1, 1994 at Rathbun Lake.  They are parents of three girls, Heather Marie, Alyssa Kay and Saydee Lynn.  Jimmie was very proud of his girls and enjoyed family time very much.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering on his youngest in every sport she played.  Many can remember him as being the loudest parent cheering every girl on.  After the national he always yelled “Play Ball.”

Jimmie worked various jobs throughout his life.  Due to his health had to retire early.

He enjoyed scratching lottery tickets, visiting casinos, every sport his daughters played in and visiting with family especially his two grandsons.

Jimmie passed away May 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Olan and Helen (Williams) Terrell, mother-in-law Marilyn Wallace, brother Walter Terrell and sister Starlet Ann Corbett.  Let to mourn his passing is his wife Sheri of twenty-five years, daughters Heather (Aaron) King (Des Moines), Alyssa (Caleb) Humeston (Melcher) and Saydee Lynn (Kentucky).  Grandsons Kyler Terrell and Noah Humeston. Brother Leroy (Sue) Terrell (Chariton) and sister Kim (Toby) Dhabolt (Chariton), brother-in-law Sohn (Susan) Wallace (Des Moines).  As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
