Mary Ellon Stamey, 78, of Calhoun passed away at her home on Saturday, May 23, 2020.  Mary was born in Lumpkin County on December 22, 1941; she was the daughter of the late M.W. and Dola Crane Sheffield.  She was preceded in death by her son Greg Stamey and her son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Brent Davis; her siblings Edward Sheffied, Loy Dean Sheffield, Tommy Sheffield, Ira Sheffield, Hazel Barr, and Merle Gaddis.  She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Andy and Delorise Stamey, and Jennifer Davis; her grandchildren; Max Stamey, Taya Davis, and Cana Davis; nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church; the funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday from the church.  Rev. Shane Parrott is presiding.
