<p>Raymond &quot;Ray&quot; DeVon Webb, 87, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 22, 2020.</p> <p>Raymond was born on February 25, 1933 in Knox City, IN, to Roy and Ada (Riggleman) Webb, Sr.&nbsp;</p> <p>On May 17, 1952 in Door Village, IN, he married Janette Dyer who survives.&nbsp; Also surviving are his 3 grandchildren, Tammy (Josh) Lawrenz of La Porte, Joni (Jeff) Lawrenz of Rochester, and Paula (Carl) Konda of DeLand, FL; 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Aleysia, Evan, Zaeha, Marissa, Angel, Raymond, Cam, Mela, Penny; special son, Tom (Pati) James of Hamlet; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> Ray was preceded by his parents, Roy and Ada also known by Ray&#39;s grandchildren as &quot;Angel&quot;; son, Rex Webb; daughter, Pamela Konda; grandson, Buddy Konda; great-grandson, Baby John; sister, Betty Ricks; and brother, Roy Webb, Jr.</p> <p>Ray served honorably in the US Army.&nbsp; He was a heavy equipment operator with Delta III being his last place of employment, owned a hardware store and a gravel quarry, and had pastored a church.&nbsp; He enjoyed traveling to Florida, going to flea markets with his wife and family, throwing ball and watching his great-grandson play baseball and great-granddaughter play softball.&nbsp; Ray studied and taught the Bible.</p> <p>A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jere Gowin officiating.&nbsp; Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Union Mills Cemetery.</p> <p>A time of visitation will be held from 11 am until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorial donations may be made to Kingsford Heights Wesleyan Church, 465 Evanston Road, Kingsford Heights, IN&nbsp; 46346.</p> <p>Condolences may be shared with the family on www.cutlercares.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>If you would like to &quot;SendHugs&quot; by recording a memory or condolence for the family, please click on the name to the right:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="https://www.sendhugs.com/record/v2nakf5dD4w/Ray-Webb">Send Hugs for Ray Webb</a></p>
