Lovell Lester Fields Obituary

Bonaire, GA- Lovell Lester Fields, 85, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation for family and friends will be held one prior and immediately following the services. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating the services. Lester was born on May 19, 1935 in Charleston, WV to the late Lester Lovell and Helen (Rowley) Fields. He honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He continued his service as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as a master scheduler until he retired. Lester enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also quite the storyteller and enjoyed entertaining family and friends with his stories. In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Hardway. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Mary Carol (Waters) Fields of Bonaire, GA; children: Rebecca Richards (Timothy) of Bonaire, GA, Jeff Fields (Andra) of Windsor, MO and Tracie Boyette (Shannon) of Bossier City, LA; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Hayes Fields (Barbara) of Portland, TN, Roger Fields (Carol) of Charleston, WV, Jimmy Fields (Diane) of Florida and David Fields (Carolyn) of Greenville, SC; sister: Kathy Beal (Clinton) of Poca, WV.
