Josephine Grace Palmer, 82, of Dillard, GA passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at her home.  Born October 17, 1927 in Sarasota, FL, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Edith Hedlund. She worked for Southern Gas Company for 24 years as well as multiple other jobs. She loved gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was a wonderful cook and was an immaculate housekeeper. She was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Edith Thomas and two brothers, Richard and Roger Thomas And a Great Granddauther Brooke -Lynn Tubiolo She is survived by her husband, Roscoe Palmer  of the home, a son, Roscoe "Rocky" and Vicki Palmer of Scaly Mtn, NC, three brothers, Junior and Connie Thomas of LabBelle, FL,  Milford and Melinda Thomas of LabBelle, FL ,  Robin Thomas of Alabama,  three sisters, Joyce Rhoden of Union , SC, Carol and Lanny Hoffman of Rabun Gap, GA, and Alice Thomas of Rabun Gap, GA. Two grandchildren, Kimberly Verni (Mike) and Shannon Porter (Josh), six great grandchildren, Christian Tubiolo , Gabe Porter,  Joey Porter, Elle Verni, Daniel Dailey and one great great grandson also survive. Due to (Covid-19) State of Georgia Rules and regulations. A private graveside service for (Immediate Family) only will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 2:00pm at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, GA with Rev. Terry Dixon officiating.  The family will be at the home on Wild Azalea Dr., in Dillard, GA.  An online register book is available at www.hunterfuneralhomega.com.
