THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FRANK TIRINO “Devoted to his family” WATERBURY - Frank Tirino, age 77 of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St Marys Hospital from complications related to the COVID-19 virus. He was the husband of the late Teresa Rita (Brites) Tirino who passed away just 9 days earlier. They were together for 55 years and but for the last nine days. they are together again. Frank was born October 11, 1942 in Luzzano, Benevento Italy, the son of the late Luigi and Maria (DePaulo) Tirino. Frank was employed for many years at Platt Bros in Waterbury. He lived every day to the fullest but what was the most important thing to both Frank and Teresa was their family, especially their grandchildren. Vacations together in Ocean City MD, watching them play in their high school football games. Frank will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. He was loyal parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. Left to remember, cherish, and honor Franks love and legacy are his daughter, Tracy Munson and her husband, Daniel of Oakville and his son, Frank Jr and his wife, Regina of Terryville. Frank and Teresa were blessed with 6 wonderful grandchildren; Spencer, Owen, Connor, Frank, Emilee and Gia. He also leaves his beloved siblings; Arnold and Raffaella Oliver, Tony and Gioconda Dimanto, John and Brigita Tirino, Joe and Gilda Tirino. In addition, she leaves her dear and close friends; Vincenzo and Maria Mauriello, Jeanne Muniz, Pat Patterson, and Carmen Perucci and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Jennie DiTirro and Antoinette Recine. Due to the current to government restrictions regarding the pandemic, services for Mr. Tirino will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
