Jolynn Hinnant Benford

Andrews: Jolynn “Lynn” Hinnant Benford, 67, wife of Henry A. Benford, died Friday, May 22, 2020, in Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Benford was born in Georgetown on June 2, 1952, daughter of Ranson Hinnant and the late Joneil Teasley Hinnant. Mrs. Benford grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School. She enjoyed shopping with her mother and sister Diane after having a meal at Cracker Barrel. Lynn had a big heart when it came to taking care of people and their needs. One of her greatest loves was cooking. She always wanted to do it all herself no matter how many were coming. Lynn was a loving wife, daughter, sister and most of all a “Meme” to her grandchildren. Surviving are: her husband of Andrews; a daughter, Tammy Benford Narron (Jordon) of Andrews; a sister, Diana Hinnant Crosby of Andrews; three grandsons, Holden, Hendrix and Hudson Narron; a god-child, Kelley Crosby Roberts (Michael) of Andrews; four nieces, Renee Roberts, Emalee Roberts, Michelle Roberts and MaryJo Roberts all of Andrews; and a nephew, Bryan “Bubba” Roberts of Andrews. Graveside services will be two o’clock Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Geraldine Bednigo. The family suggests memorials to: St. Frances Animal Center, 125 Ridge St, Georgetown, SC 29440. Please sign a guestbook at: www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
