John Wayne Barfield, 55, son of the late John William ""JW" Barfield and Evon Williams Barfield, died Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Barfield was born on October 26, 1964 in Florence County. He worked as a roofer in construction.  

Surviving are his son, John Lee Jordan of Sumter; sisters, Rachel Barfield Huggins of Lake City and Nancy Barfield Parrott (Terry Howard) of Coward.

Mr. Barfield was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
