Marshall Sluder, Sr. age 75, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Saturday, June 17, 1944 in Waynesburg, he was the son to Zora Sluder, Jr. and the late Virginia Padgett Sluder. Marshall was an U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, playing his bluegrass on his guitar and working on old cars.

In addition to his father, Marshall leaves behind two sons, Marshall Sluder, Jr. (Marjorie) of Waynesburg and Jason Sluder (Angie) of Eubank, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, Jamie Sluder, Ashley Sluder, Brittany Smith (Tyler), Austin Sluder, Jordan Rowland and Samantha Grant (Clay); 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Michael Sluder (Jenny) of Stanford, Kentucky; and 3 sisters, Beverly Sluder of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joi Lynne Cook of Kannapolis, North Carolina and Cindy Gayle Surber (James) of Stanford.

Marshall was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Padgett Sluder.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, a private funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. Bro. Carson Atwood will officiate the service. Private Burial will follow the service in Olive Cemetery.

A Public Visitation will be held 6-8PM Monday, May 25, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with limited numbers allowed at a time.
