Gloria Jean Marrow

Gloria J. Marrow, 74, of Niles, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 22, 2020, with her family by her side. Gloria was born on December 11, 1945, to the late Clemon K. and Minnie L. (Cobb) Kilburn in South Bend. She married Leonard N. Marrow on August 22, 1964, in a ceremony at the home of her grandmother, Gladys Sarber Cobb, in Buchanan, Michigan. Gloria went on to become a cosmetology instructor and owned her own beauty shop for over 30 years. Gloria was still working in her shop until her recent illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, her parents, and her grandmother. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Vonda Marrow of Niles and Valory (Ron) Rogers of Edwardsburg, two grandchildren Katelynn Rogers of Edwardsburg and Ryan Rogers of Edwardsburg; siblings, Doris (Don) Schrimsher of Niles, Janet (Bob) Shaner of Sims, North Carolina, and Robert (Connie) Kilburn of Hartford, MI; and many extended family members and close friends. The family expresses its gratitude to Caring Circle Hospice and the excellent care that Gloria received. A memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held in the coming months in compliance with COVID-19. A private committal will take place at Smith Chapel Cemetery. Gloria’s family will be honoring her memory with a bench at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds. All memorial contributions received will be used for that purpose.
