Ava Leona Cole Norton, 84, of Mars Hill, passed away May 22, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Donnie Hensley Cole. Ava was a faithful Christian and loved people. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Norton; a daughter, Carolyn Lampley; sons, Donald and Larry Norton; brothers, Melvin, Harlon and Randy Cole, and a grandson, Shane Pennell. She is survived by daughters, Evonne Thomas (Jim) and Susie Pennell; sister, Edna Messer and several grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The burial will follow in the Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery.
