Donna Marie Caruso

February 11, 1949 - March 26, 2020

The family of Donna Marie Caruso is saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, March 26, 2020 in Fort Qu' Appelle Saskatchewan, at the age of 71.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date.

 

Donna's passion was films.  She  worked with the Saskatchewan Lung Association on her first full length documentary, “Chasing the Cure”, which chronicled the Fort Qu’Appelle Sanatorium and the early days of the fight against TB.  Her profile is posted on their site, as is a link to the documentary on YouTube.

She was also a very talented writer.   “Journey Without a Map: Growing Up Italian”, is an award-winning memoir. Donna was proud of her work on the book, but also felt it was a way for people to get to know her and understand where she came from.
