Joseph T. Winn, age 79, of Providence, died Thursday at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. Born and raised in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Guertin) Winn, he was a lifelong and well known Smith Hill Resident.

He was a manager at the City of Providence for several years.

Joseph leaves a brother, John P. Winn, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a brother of the late James F. "Jimmy" Winn, Robert J. Winn, and Margaret Guertin.

The funeral and burial will be private.
