Gloria Allen, 80, of Knox, passed away peacefully at 5:40 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2020 at Golden Living Center Fountainview Terrace, La Porte. She was born December 3, 1939, in Knox, Indiana, to Henry and Lavina (Coonfare) Byer. Gloria was a former member of the Kingdom Hall that formerly was in Knox, Indiana. She enjoyed computer games and traveling to see family. Gloria cared about other people deeply. She was a caretaker for her aunt and cousin. Surviving are her daughter, Aleeta (Steve) Trost of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Lawrence Byer of Knox; two grandchildren, Adam (Heather) Densmore of Costa Mesa, California and Keli Trost of El Paso, Texas. Preceding in death were her parents. Cremation will take place. There will be no service. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W.
