Billy Joe Griffith, 82, of Rapids City passed away May 22, 2020 at New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis.

Private Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery in Moline. Schroder Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Billy was born August 31, 1937 in Whitwell, TN the son of Alvis and Alice Meeks Griffith. He married Doylene Tacker November 7, 1977 in Rock Island. Billy retired from John Deere after 30 years.

Survivors include his wife Doylene; children Missy (Emmy) Kyser of Colona, Glen (Sandy) Griffith of East Moline, Phill Griffith of Davenport, and Billy (Deb) Griffith of East Moline and a sister Patsy Layne of Tennessee.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Walt and Larry, and sisters Virgie and Mary Griffith.
