Gary Wise Obituary

Gary Wise, 77 of Logansport, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, May 22, 2020. Born April 22, 1943, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Gorman Lester and Anna Margaret (Helvey) Wise . On December 14, 1991, in Logansport, he was married to Donna Pauley Wise, who survives. Gary was a self-employed bricklayer who took great pride in his work as a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Craftworkers. He loved the beauty of his surroundings on the Wabash, watching the beautiful birds in his yard. Over the years, Gary enjoyed many fishing trips with his buddies. He leaves behind good memories of times at Krieg's Tavern where he enjoyed a cold beer and the lively conversation that would ensue. Surviving with his wife are his daughter and son-in-law, Justina and Jeremy Johnson, Logansport; son, Jeremy Pauley, Logansport; son-in-law, Robert Gallardo, Logansport; daughter-in-law, Christina Pauley, Burnettsville; and his much-loved grandchildren, Sophia and Anthony Gallardo and Rylynn and Maleah Pauley. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and a capacity of 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at a time. A Funeral Service celebrating Gary's life will be held for family and close friends on Thursday, May 28, in the funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
