Janice Peterson, 81, of South Bend, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at her residence.  Janice was born September 22, 1938 in Buchanan, Michigan, to the late Silas and Helen Burno.  She graduated from John Adams High School.  On October 29, 1961 in South Bend, she married John Peterson; and he survives.  She at one time worked as a clerk with Associates; then worked for a repairman who worked on appliances.  Later in life she was a home-maker.

Janice is survived by her husband, John Peterson, and their son, Brian John Peterson both of South Bend.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.  Burial will follow at the Southlawn Cemetery.  Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, is assisting the family with arrangements.
