Manchester-by-the-Sea- Lloyd E. Wilson 94 died Friday, May 22, 2020 at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield where he has resided for the past year. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Edward and Cora (Lord) Wilson. He attended Danvers schools prior to enlisting in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict between 1943 and 1951. Lloyd married Ruth (Colby) Wilson of Manchester by-the-Sea in 1950 enjoying 67 years of marriage until Ruth’s death on September 30, 2017. Lloyd worked in the electrical field and in his retirement was a familiar face working for Manchester Hardware into his mid 80’s. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 and the Manchester Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. He was also a member with his wife Ruth of the Sons of Norway. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Logue and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, NH; two sons William Wilson and his wife Anita Paris of Waterville Valley, NH and Robert Wilson and his wife Kathy of Manchester by-the-Sea. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kari-Ann Wilson of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Wilson of Manchester by-the-Sea, Justin Wilson of Chandler, Arizona and Max Logue of Austin, TX. In addition to his wife Ruth, Lloyd was predeceased by his daughter Sara Wilson of Manchester by-the-Sea and granddaughter Heather Maxwell of Boscawen, NH. He was also predeceased by his brother Raymond Wilson and sisters Mabel Adonis and Margaret Herron. Funeral services will be private at a later date.
