<p>Barbara J. (Black) Withers, age 80, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Golden Heights Personal Care Home. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp. where she was a former member of the handbell choir. She was a former pianist at many area churches and a volunteer pianist for the Elizabeth Twp. Historical Society. Born June 27, 1939 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Hazel (McCoy) Black and wife of the late Edward M. Withers, who passed away January 6, 2020. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Nicholson of Chatham, VA, Holly (Jeff) Slavin of Painesville, OH and Jill Withers of Columbus, OH; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Mark E. Withers who passed away March 4, 2020. Visitation and funeral service are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western PA, 575 Lincoln Avenue, #101, Bellevue, PA 15202.</p>Obituary
