Dateline-Exeter, NH Patricia M. Macdonald, 79, passed away on May 20, 2020 at her home in Exeter, NH surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1940 in Medford, MA., daughter of the late Arthur Eugene Stanley and Catherine Rita (Gallagher) Stanley. Patricia was one of 5 children in her family. She was raised in Arlington, MA and graduated from Arlington High School. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, David S. Macdonald on August 16, 1958. They raised a 2 sons and daughter living in different parts of the country including Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Washington. Patricia loved helping people and she was amazing at it. She was very interested in the medical field and worked as a nurse’s aide and in medical receptions. She and David had resided the last 15 years in Exeter, NH. Patricia's hobbies included doing crafts and going on the computer. She loved traveling and going to the beach. She was an avid reader and was very fond of romantic and Amish novels. Patricia collected thimbles, teddy bears and salt and pepper shakers. But most of all, Patricia loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband, David S. Macdonald of Exeter, NH, daughter, Laura Robitaille of Manchester, NH, sons, Steven Macdonald d of Hampton and Bruce Macdonald of Minnesota, sister, Mary Cooney of Burlington, MA, sister, Rita Smith of Nashua, NH, brother, Arthur Stanley of New Jersey, brother, James Stanley of Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited for the memorial service on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH.
