Mrs. Zona Golden Scott transitioned February 24, 2020 at the age of 89 at New Albany Health and Rehab Nursing Home in New Albany, MS.  She was born on April 4, 1930 to the late Walter Golden Senior and Haggar Stevenson Golden.

She was a member of the Nation of Islam where she remained until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Scott, ten brothers: Guy Golden, Charles Golden, Dank Golden, Murray Golden, John Golden, Ponce Leon Golden,Walter Golden Jr., R.J. Golden, Nunny Golden, and Sunny Golden, four sisters: Elizabeth Smith, Linda Mae Davidson, Alvis Lillian Gandy and Linny Williams, one son-in-law Leon Berry, one daughter-in-law Pamela Scott, sister-in-law Alma Dell Golden and one stepdaughter Elaine Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories four children and one stepson: Ophelia Berry, Alma(Curtis) Brand, William (Betty) Scott, George Scott and William McAllister, one sister Minnie Payton of Beloit, WI, seventeen grandchildren: Randy (Deborah) Berry, Rodney (Patsy) Berry, Barbara (Marcel) Hamilton of Buffalo, NY, Melissa (Terry) Strong, Pamela (William) Robinson, Ebony Scott, Jasmine (Robert) Vaughn, Ellis Scott, Brian Brand, Kevin Brand, Renea (Darnell) Henley, Keith McAllister, Michelle (Andrew) Tate, Tory McAllister, Sonya (Akeia) Stewart, Paletha (Joe) Keaton and F.D. Roger forty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-nine great-great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and  friends.
