Roy Allan Cantrell, Age 72 of Wellston, Michigan died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital. He was born on February 3, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois and the son of the Eugene Daisy & the late Beatrice (Milanich) Daisy. He was a graduate of Walker High School in Chicago and then served in the United States Army. He married Claudette Kay (Good) Fritts on March 2, 2007 in LaPorte, Indiana. Roy was employed as a tool & die maker, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, & shrooming. He loved to smoke meat and fish. He is survived by his wife; Claudette Fritts Cantrell of Wellston, daughter; Rhonda Cantrell of LaPorte, IN, step-daughters; Angie (Keith) O’Donnell of Elwood, IN, Tammy Small of Knox, IN, Tanya (Tim) Hellums of Michigan City, IN, step-sons; Richard Blankenship of Buchanan, MI, Joshua Fritts of Macy, IN and Jason Fritts of LaPorte, IN, brothers; Lou (Sherry) Cantrell of LaPorte, IN, Jess (Jeanne) Cantrell of LaPorte, IN, Roger (Daisy) Daisy of Kingsbury, IN, Wayne (Jackie) Daisy of Rolling Prairie, IN, sisters; Susan (Don) Miller of Terre Haute, IN, and Sandra Lundy also of Terre Haute, IN, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Jim & Bob Cantrell. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements by the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee, Michigan.
