<p>Billy Ray Jackson, 57, passed away May 19, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi.&nbsp; The family will host a Celebration of Life Service, which will be announced and directed by Benchmark Memorial Life Center.</p> <p>Mr. Jackson was born July 12, 1962, in Noxubee County, Mississippi, to the late Jimmie Lee and Emma Lee Jackson.&nbsp; He was a 1980 graduate of Noxubee County High School.&nbsp; After graduating, he served three years in the U. S. Army, where he honed his skills as a mechanic.&nbsp; He was a master mechanic and worked as an aircraft engineer for over 30 years on the Columbus U. S. Air Force fleet.&nbsp; He was married to Marian Rose Jackson.</p> <p>Preceding him in death were his parents, Jimmie Lee, and Emma Lee Jackson; brothers, Johnnie B. Jackson, and Willie R. Jackson; and sisters, Addie B. Jackson Staples, and Linda J. Jackson Stewart.</p> <p>Billy was the President of the Tenth Street Fairlawn Baptist Church Deacon Board.&nbsp; He loved God and dedicated his life to working for the Lord.&nbsp; He never missed an opportunity to serve the Lord, and faithfully attended church.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was also an avid football fan.&nbsp; He loved the Crimson Tide and the Steelers.&nbsp; His other loves were traveling, barbequing, hosting family events and spending time with his family.&nbsp; Billy brought joy, fun, laughter, and love wherever he went.&nbsp; He spent time teaching his sons to fish and camp and joking with his brothers about football and whose team was the best.&nbsp;</p> <p>To cherish his memory are his wife, Marian; sons, Jasper, Justin, Demetris and Gregory; and his only daughter, Janet, all of Columbus, MS.&nbsp; He also leaves his beloved siblings, Emma Howard Jackson, Robert (Hattie) Jackson, Edward Jackson, Jimmie Jackson of Columbus; Bobby (Denise Jackson) Jackson of Florida; and Tommie Jackson of New York; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Columbus Air Force Base coworkers.</p>

Billy Ray Jackson, 57, passed away May 19, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi.  The family will host a Celebration of Life Service, which will be announced and directed by Benchmark Memorial Life Center.

Mr. Jackson was born July 12, 1962, in Noxubee County, Mississippi, to the late Jimmie Lee and Emma Lee Jackson.  He was a 1980 graduate of Noxubee County High School.  After graduating, he served three years in the U.
