<p>Joanne Lucille Johnson, 86, a life-long resident of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Aspen Grove. She was born at home March 16, 1934, to parents Nelson and Caroline (Smith) Bexten. Joanne was employed with the Coca - Cola Bottling Company for more than 27 years, retiring in 1989. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Joanne enjoyed crocheting and baking, especially pies. She enjoyed the time spent with her husband Carl, hunting, fishing, and camping.</p> <p>She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Donald) Marsh; son Mark (Dianne) Johnson; grandchildren Daniel (Lindsey), David (Angela), and Dustin (Jennifer) Marsh, and Miranda (Mike) Szmania; great-grandchildren Ian, Emma, Phoebe, Lucille, Gwendolyn, Holden, Mason, and Maddox; sister Patricia (James) Delcamp; and brother Robert (Betty) Bexten. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Carl Johnson; great-granddaughter Riley Marie; and brother Anthony Bexten.</p> <p>Joanne&rsquo;s life was celebrated with a Funeral Mass at the St. Anthony Catholic, where she was a life-long member, and was laid to rest beside Carl at Whiteford Union Cemetery.</p> <p>Those wishing to offer memorials in Joanne&rsquo;s memory are asked to consider the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Temperance, MI, or the Monroe County Humane Society.</p> <p>Joanne&rsquo;s family would like to thank the staff at Aspen Grove for their loving care and support of their Mother.&nbsp;</p> <p>Professional services were provide by the Reeb Funeral Home where on line condolences may be offered at www.reebfuneralhome.com</p>
