Ethel Alberta Kirk of Waco passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in a local health facility. She was born in Milburn, Nebraska, December 6, 1926, daughter of the late Floyd Edward Tyson and Ethel Mae Holmes Tyson. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Broken Bow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Eacker, Marjorie Place, Mary Prescott and a brother, Bufford Tyson. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean and Martin Thompson of Waco; a son, James Mark Kirk of West Palm Beach, FL; her ex-husband, James Alfred Kirk; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 25 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Wendell Hurston officiating. Music will be furnished by Mrs. Barbara Hurston.
