Robert "Bob" Geyso Obituary

Robert "Bob" Geyso, 74, Wrightstown, passed away surrounded by his family on Sept. 20, 2016 at a local hospital. Bob was born January 7, 1942, son of the late Elmer and Myrtle (Hansen) Geyso. Bob was a graduate of Wrightstown High School Class of 1960 and was a lifelong resident of Wrightstown. On April 18, 1964, Bob married Lois Van Gheem at St Mary's Catholic Church in Greenleaf, Wis. He was employed by Super Valu Warehouse until his retirement. Bob enjoyed taking rides up north, going deer hunting with friends, going to auctions, and playing cards. He also enjoyed following politics. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. Bob was a member at St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. Survivors include his loving wife, Lois; son, Scott Geyso and his wife Cheryl Myszka; daughter, Jill Geyso; sisters, Ruth Anderson and Mary Ellen Nienhaus; brother, Douglas (Donna) Geyso; sisters-in-law, Judy Geyso and Karen Geyso; brothers-in-law, Jules (Bev) Van Gheem and Glen (Sue) Van Gheem; Godchildren, Kent Anderson and Kevin Van Gheem. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Edmund and Caroline Van Gheem; sister, Marlene (Howard) South; brothers, Richard Geyso and William Geyso; niece, Kelly South; brother-in-law, John Anderson. Friends may call after 12:00 PM Monday September 26, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Wrightstown. The funeral service for Bob will take place at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mike Gehl officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the many special family and friends who helped Bob and Lois over the years. Special thank you to Bob's doctors: Dr. Matthias Fuchs, Dr. Bozena Biernat, and Dr. Kathryn Bylow and all the staff at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten. Also, special thank you to the caring staffs at Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice who helped us through this final journey. God Bless you all.
