On Friday, May 8th, 2020 in South San Francisco we lost our beloved sister, Roseanna “Rodie” Leonard. She went peacefully in the night.
Rodie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Leonard. Survived by Mary Jo Leishman (Greg, deceased), Joseph Leonard, Jr. (Dede), Carolyn Attard ( Charlie), Andrew Leonard (Beverly), Leah Leonard , John Dixon, (special family friend).
Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Justine Venezia (Kevin), Michael Leishman (Daniella), Rustin Mayorga, Dominque Brown, Catherine and Claire Attard.
Dear niece to Juanita Hamilton, Andrew J. Leonard, Jr. (deceased), Mike Thelen (deceased), Kathleen Domerofski, Carol Donnelly, and their spouses.
Rodie was born on January 30th, 1956 in San Francisco. She attended Daniel Webster Elementary and Saint Teresa School. In 1969 the family moved to South San Francisco. She then attended Alta Loma Jr. High. This is when Rodie would tell you that her life got exciting! She made so many friends and memories that carried over to El Camino High School.
Rodie had several jobs utilizing her administrative and secretarial skills. She was thrilled when she landed her dream job as an executive assistant at George Lucas’ THX in Marin where she also resided.
Unfortunately, Rodie suffered with Lupus for twenty years. In her last days she enjoyed spending time at her family home in South San Francisco.
Rodie was smart, funny, loyal, kind and beautiful. She could light up a room as soon as she entered. She really cared for others and had a special knack for just listening. She will be greatly missed.
Eternal happiness Rodie, we will forever carry you in our hearts until we meet again.
Thank you to all our friends for your love and support.
