Ian Owen G. Currie, 91, of Hillman passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at his home.

Ian was born in Scotland on July 12, 1925.  Owen served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 1990.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, was a Shriner and the Blue Lodge.  He enjoyed fishing, doing woodworking and Hillman High School sports.  Along with his wife, he enjoyed square and round dancing.  Ian will be remember for his loving and caring personality.

Surviving are his wife Margaret, daughter, Louise (Dennis) Lesky, 3 grandchildren, Mikelle, Lennin, Richard; 6 grandchildren, Jamiame, Ryan, Tanner, Allie, Jonathan, and Diamond.

Mr. Currie was preceded by 2 sisters, Janet Kreber and Jean Freeman.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home in Hillman.  A memorial service will take place at a later date.
