Ronald G. Linford

Ronald George Linford, age 70 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, Tennessee passed away January 22, 2017.Ron was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1964-1968. He was also a member of the American Legion and President of the Village Vettes. He enjoyed Tellico Badminton, Tellico Pickle ball and was an avid hunter and boater. Ron retired from Ernst & Young LLP after working for them for 30 enjoyable years. Preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Irwin Linford and his father, Ronald Linford. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jeannie Andrews Linford; his proud daughters Angie Manning (Russell) and Ronda Lelecas (Michael); grandchildren Marina Lelecas, Abigail Manning, Bridget Manning and Alexander Lelecas; sister Terry McCarville (Michael); brothers Jamie Linford (Sharon), Kelly Linford (Deb) and Brooke Linford (Linda) and many friends around the United States. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Tellico Village. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or to the Lymphoma Research Foundation for Waldenstrom Macroglobulinema at https://community.lymphoma.org/. Funeral: A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Tellico Village Interment: At East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
