Walter Lee Phillips - age 79 of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday morning, January 28, 2017 at his home. Walter was born in Fannin County Georgia on February 8, 1937. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all. Walter was a retired truck driver with over 50 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Tennie Louella Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Debbie Phillips; daughter, Donna Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, William and Joanne Phillips; sisters, Nellie Williams and Catherine Heffner; five grandchildren and their families; ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Wednesday morning and proceed to Corinth cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
