Lucy Shields Jackson Obituary

Sister Lucy Shields Jackson was born July 14, 1954, to the late Mary

Lou McClinton and the late Fenord Clark. She accepted Christ at an

early age and was a member of Antioch M.B. Church. Later, Sister

Jackson joined Fourth Street M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev.

Jimmy Rice, where she served as a faithful member of the choir and

usher board. She was employed at Sanderson Plumbing for 24 years

until her retirement.

 

Lucy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou McClinton, and

father, Fenord Clark; grandparents, Martha Jane Shields and Jim Shields;

children, Tommy Shields, Kerry Shields and Kenneth Shields; Godmother,

Willie Mae Willis; sister, Hattie Shields Williams; and brothers, N.F. Shields

and Tom Clark.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twelve years,

Jimmy Jackson; sisters, Mattie (John) Gore of Columbus, MS; Laura

Roberts, Ruth (Eddie) Chandler, and Magnolia Clark, all of Starkville,

MS; brothers, John Clark and Fenord Clark of Starkville, MS; stepchildren,

Karen (Charles) Calmes of Macon, MS; Rochelle Jordon of Huntington, NY;

Michael (Juanita) Jackson of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Caterrika

Lashley, Grand Rapids, MI; Tasha Taylor, Kerry Shields, Lesha Garner,

Shunta Garner, Monique Garner and Jamarion Jackson, all of Columbus,

MS; Ethan Jackson of Memphis, TN; 15 great grandchildren, God sisters

and brothers. The Willis Family, one special uncle, Willie James Shields

(Uncle Buddy), Ella D. Clark, best friend, Mary Bush, and a host of

aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
