We are gathered here today for the home going of Mother Tommie Mae Clinton Wilson.
She was born January 6, 1945, in Starkville, MS, and was preceded in death to by her parents Henry and Alberta Bolin Clinton and her brother Henry Clinton, Jr.
Mother Wilson devoted her life to giving, “All Praise to God” and caring for her family and others. For those who knew her, she was never more than a phone call away. Throughout her life she was the symbol of courage, inspiration and Hope, no matter what trials came her way. She could often be heard saying, “All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me” and to remember, “God is Able”. For you see, her Faith was her life.
She is survived by her children: Dessie Clinton-Robinson (Ray) of Raymond, MS; Ben Hawkins of Jackson, MS; Kimberly D. Scott (Lee) of Longview, TX; Angela Y. Hawkins of Jackson, MS; Antionette Y. Hawkins and Bernadette Y. Hawkins of Bethesda, MD. Grandchildren: R’Mickel A. Robinson, Clinton De’ Robinson, Tamika L. Hawkins, Eric T. Hawkins, Derek T. Hawkins, Eve Faye Bemley (Cameron Kelly), Ny’Justice Wilson and ten great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves six living siblings: Willie Mae Perkins of Jackson, MS; Sammie L. Clinton, Wilson Crawford, Jr., Frank J. Crawford, Willie B. Kinds and Willie J. Crawford all of Greenwood, MS.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Amazing Institutional C.O.G.I.C, under the leadership of the honorable Marcus L. Butler, Pastor. She served on the Missionary and Mother Board of the church and believed in being of service where ever the Lord could use her.
