LANE, Katherine Ellen -- Age 85, of Fenton, died February 22, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 26 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Rev. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 12:30 PM Thursday. Visitation will be held 9 AM until the time of the funeral on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Katherine was born August 21, 1923 to Thomas and Agnes Madison in Milford. Katherine lived the last 45 years in the Fenton area. She was married to Robert Cox until his death in 1972. She married Thomas Lane in 1981, who preceded her in death in 2008. Katherine leaves children, Robert(Kelly) Cox, Carolyn (Ed) Canen, Elizabeth (Joe) Ziolkowski, Thomas Cox, Tish (Gary) Evans, Charles (Joan) Cox. She also leaves, grandchildren Kristen, Craig, Caylie, Robert, Tamara, Althea, Joe, Danya, Tom, Heather, Garrett, TJ, Chaz, Bobby and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Payton, Reese, Alex, Katie, Ryan, Madison, Megan, and Rachel; sister-in-law Dorothy Madison. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother Walt Madison; and grandson Ryan Stevenson. The family would like to thank Avalon Hospice for their loving care of our mother.
