JAMES CANNON , JR. Obituary

James Cannon, Jr.,  86  of Seaford died Sunday May 26, 2019 at home after a brief Illness. James was born May 29, 1932 in Seaford to the late John and Rhoda Smith Cannon.  James received his elementary and high school  education in seaford.  Upon graduation he joined the Army serving in the Korean War, after an honorable discharge he returned home and married the love of his life, Blanche Prattis from that union came six children., they were married more than 35 years.  James worked for Delmarva paving 37 years before retiring.  At 67 James met and married Rebecca Harmon of Seaford and that union produced five children.  James joined Tabernacle Praise Ministeries 18 years a member of Bishop and Pastor Jennings Church of Concord and Seaford, De.  He became a Deacon in the church and enjoyed serving the Lord up until his death.  During his retirement he worked outside on his lawnmower cutting grass, and would take time out to go fishing which he enjoyed very much.  James liked collecting cans and bottles, and going to the sales in Ellendale where he would collect bikes.

Service: Saturday June 8, 2019 at 11:am / Refuge Temple Revival Center / 455 N. Front St / Seaford, De  19973 / Friends may call at the church 2 hours before service  9 till 11 am.
