John W. Bloom, Jr. Obituary
John W. Bloom, Jr. of Spring Mills, passed away at his home on May 13, 2020. He was 76. Born in Kearney, Nebraska, John was a son of the late John W Bloom, Sr. and Jean (Watson) Bloom. John was a 1961 graduate of Clearfield High School. On March 17, 1972 he married Jean Bradford who survives at their home.
John was a Supervisor for Glenn O. Hawbaker of State College with 35 years of service. He enjoyed reading, watching Fox News, Jeopardy, Steeler football and, listening to Rush Limbaugh.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by one daughter, Jennie K. Gibson; one son, Thomas B. Bloom; and, three grandchildren, Nick Gibson, Gracey Gibson and Brett Bloom. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Bloom and his son in law, David W. Gibson, II.
In accordance with John’s wishes there will be no services. Contributions in John’s memory may be given to the charity of donor’s choice.
