Shirley Ann Edwards

<p>Shirley Edwards was and still is the epitome of an amazing woman. A relatively quiet person, slightly vertically challenged but super strong, loving and caring. Shirley would do anything for anybody that needed it. She made a big impact on all her friends and even acquaintances and especially me.<br /> I miss her greatly and will miss her for the rest of my life. She was taken away way too soon at age 63. She fought an incredible battle In the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops but the rare but terrible Bacterial Infection that was in her and attacked most of her internal organs and went&nbsp; Sepsis was just a little too much. At least her terrible pain and suffering is over and she is now in peace and with her Mother, Father,&nbsp; two brothers, and her two dogs that she loved dearly.<br /> Shirley was predeceased by her Mother Mary and Father Derek and Brothers Luke and Harry. She is survived by her loving partner and best friend Doug (me), son Kyle and soon to be daughter in- law Angela Green and her grandson Derek who she just adored.<br /> Shirley was born on December 28, 1956 in Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops BC. The family moved to Hopee Beach New Zealand for a couple of years when she was a little girl. They moved back to Vancouver Island and lived in Cobble Hill near Duncan. They left Cobble Hill and ended up in Ashcroft BC where Shirley went to school and graduated. They then moved to Echo Springs in the Cariboo Region, near Big Bar Lake northwest of Clinton BC. Obituary

Shirley Edwards was and still is the epitome of an amazing woman. A relatively quiet person, slightly vertically challenged but super strong, loving and caring. Shirley would do anything for anybody that needed it. She made a big impact on all her friends and even acquaintances and especially me.
I miss her greatly and will miss her for the rest of my life. She was taken away way too soon at age 63. She fought an incredible battle In the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops but the rare but terrible Bacterial Infection that was in her and attacked most of her internal organs and went  Sepsis was just a little too much. At least her terrible pain and suffering is over and she is now in peace and with her Mother, Father,  two brothers, and her two dogs that she loved dearly.
Shirley was predeceased by her Mother Mary and Father Derek and Brothers Luke and Harry. She is survived by her loving partner and best friend Doug (me), son Kyle and soon to be daughter in- law Angela Green and her grandson Derek who she just adored.
Shirley was born on December 28, 1956 in Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops BC. Her job, for the most part, every summer was manning various Forest Fire Lookout Towers on top of mountains throughout the southern interior of BC.  I was introduced to  Shirley by Kyle in the spring of 2007 and convinced her that Ashcroft was the place to be and she surprisingly agreed. We had just short of 13 great years together. Did a fair bit of traveling to places she had never been, did a fair bit of camping at lakes and rivers and even got her interested in canoeing and fishing and photography and taught her how to use a computer and internet on which she spent a lot of time on social media We had a big trip planned for this summer to visit many of the spectacular National Parks in the US southwest including Grand Canyon and Monument Valley in Arizona, Yosemite in central California, Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park in Utah and then ending up in San Diego California before returning home  Sadly that won't happen. Over the next little while, I will be posting some pictures of Shirley and family and even a few video clips.
