William “Bill” Hadley Hinson, 69, of Panama City, FL, left this life in the way he envisioned on Sunday, January 29th, 2017. Though he was ready, the day came way too early for his wife and best friend of 50 years, Glenda, and the rest of his family. He is no longer in pain which he bore with grace and dignity for longer than anyone should. In keeping with his way and his wishes, no other words mean as much as his own: “You all know I was never one to be long winded in conversing! If you are reading this letter it means I have begun the most exciting journey in any person’s lifetime…I am deceased. I hope to be a fond, somewhat eccentric memory, kept inside a small, little space in your hearts. I do love each and every one of you with all my heart. You have made me laugh, cry, sing (out of tune I admit), and feel so blessed. Thank all of you for making me see and feel human. I love you all and promise to try to peek in on you if it’s in the rules. Celebrate one and all! Fire up the old grill and ice down the beer!” Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bess and Bill Porter; sister, Charlene White; father, Phillip Hinson; K-9 companions, Gillie and Harvey; and numerous other family and friends. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Hinson; two sons, Brett Hinson (Janet) and B.T. Hinson (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Eli, Parker and Azalea; step-mother, Jean Hinson; sister, Donna Hatfield; and his beloved golden retriever, Maggie. At Bill’s request, there will be no formal services.
