Jonesboro- Bobby Ballew, 79, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1937 in Blytheville to the late Edgar and Ethel Ballew. Bobby was a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, gardening and the outdoors. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Ballew; his children, Nathan Ballew Sr., Mary Peel and Della Hazelwood all of Jonesboro, Anthony McMillan and Debbie Stewart of Little Rock and Connie Burford of Conway; a brother, Phillip Ballew of Jonesboro; two sisters, Linda Wilson and Judy Wilson of Lavacca; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by two sons, Kerry Favorite and Wayne Nix; a brother, Rodger Ballew and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2017 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Friday at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vonda Keasler officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dustin Hazelwood, Michael Nix, Johnny Hazelwood, Anthony McMillan, Brandon Garner and Phillip Beebe.
