Cary G. Abel died peacefully on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 in Libertyville, IL at the age of 73. Cary is survived by his mother Ethel May, 4 siblings, 6 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild who resides in CA., OK., IL. and WI. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph Stephen and brother Kenneth Ray of Baker, OK. Cary was born on April 4th, 1943 in Liberal, KS to Ethel May and Ralph Stephen Abel. He served in the US Air Force & Navy. After his retirement from the Navy he was an Instructor teaching electronics at the Great Lakes Naval base. Cary was a loving father who served his country with honor. He had smile that would light up the room and made new friends where ever he went. A private family service is scheduled for Friday, February 3rd in Wauconda, IL. Family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Cary's memory.
