Posey Lincoln Wyatt
Posey Lincoln Wyatt, 84, of 665 Jeb Stuart Road, Martinsville, VA passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born on October 5, 1932 in Patrick Co., VA to the late Posey Lester Wyatt and Dossie Belle Tuggle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Shirleen Jordan, two brothers and one sister. Wyatt had been the City Animal Control Officer. He later became Superintendent of the City Farm. Prior to joining the City staff Wyatt had worked for the State of Virginia Department of Corrections for 17 years. He also was in charge of teaching how to handle tracking dogs for the State of Virginia. After retiring he worked part time at Norris Funeral Services. He is survived by his wife, Reba P. Wyatt of the residence, step-son, Warren Boyd of Martinsville, VA, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the home. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, VA 24112. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, Martinsville, VA is serving the Wyatt family.
